Remarks by her friend and mentor Martin Z Margulies same night Wednesday April 15 at 7:30 pm. Francien "Fran" Ruwitch was known for her energy, her panache, and her love for art. She enjoyed a stellar reputation as one of Miami's most committed connoisseurs who, over the course of several decades, built a remarkable collection of contemporary art. Martin Z. Margulies was Fran's good friend and mentor. This is the first public exhibition of works from the collection as a tribute to a wonderful woman. Fran first became a Lowe Art Museum member in 1954, later she served as President of Lowe's Friends of Art for 2 years.
