Enjoy a night of fun with the Coral Gables Museum as they celebrate their monthly “Gallery Night Live” celebration in Miami. Join the NSU for a discussion of pride and identity with workshops, symposia, discussions, and performances that foster inclusion, acceptance, and understanding for the LGBTQ+ community. This month will feature work from the ceramic artist Grayson Perry, whose work challenges cultural and gender norms by making work about his female alter-ego Claire, visitors will get to work with their own ceramic vessels to express their own personal narrative and journey. Learn about empowerment and self-discovery in a safe space today with the museum.

This month’s special guest, Queef Latina is a drag performer and sewing instructor based in Miami, Florida. She owns Queef Enterprises, a community sewing studio in downtown Miami where she holds monthly workshops and private classes.

The museum will feature many activities in recognition of June Pride Month and the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall, with a one-day symposium with local and national LGBTQ artists, curators and activists will highlight issues in the LGBTQ+ art community. Complete with panel discussions on the AIDS crisis and artists, performances, the Gay men chorus, and ritualistic healing practice by artist Roberto Navarrete that responds to intolerance towards LGBTQ+ community, the museum has something to offer for everyone.
