Family Day: “Seeking the Essence” Interactive Children’s Exhibition Opening @ ICA Miami

Join ICA for the opening of a pop up exhibition just for the kids! This interactive exhibition entitled “Seeking the Essence” was created by artist and author Menena Cottin who wanted to bring children together with storytelling, creative and imaginative play surrounding topics of inclusion and friendship through art. Come on free family day for a meet and greet with the Menena Cottin and a chance to explore the exhibit, which will only be on display for a week.

This month will also feature a free performance series produced by 19-time Grammy Award-Winning Producer Emilio Estefan in collaboration with the Miami Symphony Orchestra.

These talks are held at Soya and Pomodoro restaurant in Downtown Miami, not at the Freedom Tower museum location.

FeCuOp: Antenna @ Locust Projects

Locust Projects presents Antenna an interactive installation and activation by artist collaborative, FeCuOp. Founded in Miami in 1997, FeCuOp includes Jason Ferguson, Christian Curiel, Brandon Opalka and recent new member, Victor Villafañe. This is FeCuOp’s first major collaborative project in Miami since 2003. Opening Reception on September 14, 7 – 9 pm at Miami Design Distry newley renovated space.

MDC’s 36th Miami Book Fair @ Wolfson Campus

The nation’s largest and finest literary gathering will celebrate its 36th anniversary Nov. 17 – 24, 2019, at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. The nation’s leading weeklong literary festival featuring more than 500 authors. Tens of thousands of people descend on Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami for six nights of readings and discussions with notable authors from around the world, topped off by the beloved three-day Street Fair.

Six Words – Stories @ New World Gallery - NWSA

Sterling Ruby Opening Night! @ ICA, Miami

Tonight is Sterling Ruby Opening Night at 7 pm: ICA Miami presents the first comprehensive museum survey for renowned American/Dutch artist Sterling Ruby. Spanning more than two decades of the artist’s career, the exhibition features an array of works created in various mediums, from his iconic ceramics and paintings to lesser-known drawings and installations.
