ArtsLaunch is the biggest free community event in Miami that celebrates the performing arts and other arts disciplines. This open house is the annual kick-off to Miami’s art season! ArtsLaunch is a full day of over 50 activities including free mini performances, interactive workshops, kid’s activities, farmers market, tours and more.
Artists in Residence in Everglades (AIRIE) presents Fragile, a multi-media exhibition exposing and examining the delicate fragility of the Everglades ecosystem. Join the City of Miami Beach in tipping our hats to the one and only Micky Wolfson, Wolfsonian founder and collector extraordinaire, on the occasion of his 80th year. On Thursday, November 14, 7–10pm, A Universe of Micky will transform 10th Street between Washington and Collins into a big, block-wide birthday bash under the stars. A rousing performance by the FIU Marching Band will kick things off as the block opens to pedestrians with food trucks, cash bars, an Airstream lighting activation by Lutron, and, of course, dessert, while inside the museum visitors are invited to experience opening night of our new exhibition, A Universe of Things: Micky Wolfson Collects. The evening will conclude with a bang: an outdoor concert by Nu Deco Ensemble, magical maestros of Miami.
Botero at Lincoln Road, the open-air monumental sculpture exhibition that will take place on Lincoln Road starting November 21. The Lincoln Road Business Improvement District (BID) and the Gary Nader Art Centre 62 NE 27th St. Wynwood) who has the largest and most important collection of Botero sculptures, paintings, and drawings in the world will exhibit 13 monumental Botero sculptures on the pedestrian promenade.
