Michael Gray solo exhibition Onshore at Pinecrest Gardens (1100 S. Red Road, Pinecrest) opens today Sunday, August 4, 11 am – 1 pm. Free. Gray is an avid fisherman and South Florida resident, extremely concerned artist with the treatment, preservation and the monitoring of our water systems. Onshore is a series of works composed of paintings, linocut prints and monotype prints. These works depict the impact of the Karenia Brevis algae blooms, known best as red tide, and the overall state of Floridian water systems.

Amalia Caputo: Transferences 2.0 @ Art and Culture Center / Hollywood

Artist Amalia Caputo will install Transferences 2.0, a project for which she has photographed more than 1,700 personal objects from her collection. The image archive is mounted to the wall, and a “living archive” of the actual objects is displayed in the gallery.
