Join NSU Art Museum to bring out your artistic side! Instructors will teach visitors how to paint like impressionists in an outdoor art session at Bubier (Huizenga Park) and Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale. Visitors will learn the techniques and inspiration behind the work of Auguste Rodin and William Glacken, some of the most iconic French impressionists. Materials are included and all skill levels are encouraged to join.

Join the NSU Art Museum and Barbara Buhler Lynes, Ph.D., Sunny Kaufman Senior Curator for a lecture on the museum’s Cobra collection. The Cobra collection is a series of work similar to that of abstract expressionists of the 20th century, however, it differs in that neither was inspired by the other. These dynamic, colorful, and expressive works were made by international artists who joined together in 1948, naming their group Cobra after their home cities of Copenhagen, Brussels, and Amsterdam, and the museum has one of the biggest collections of their work in the US.

Rodriguez: Hair to the Queen, a Guest Lecture Series with cancer research scientists, happy hour drink specials, light bites and hands-on projects, This months activities will revolve around Pride Month, taking an in-depth look into Andy Warhol’s Ladies and Gentlemen series (1975).
