Zapata, MDAD (Miami Downtown Arts District) and Car2Go, The Gallery @ McCormick Place and Art is Life invite to this First Friday Downtown Arts Night, June 5th, 6 – 11 pm celebration party: featuring artist Griselda Lechini, live performances and Open Studios. Free admission and free parking. Performances will start at 7:30pm sharp with HistoryMiami’s Artist in Residence Flamenco dancer and choreographer Clarita Filgueiras. At 8:30pm, The Opera Atelier will delight with an unexpected and riveting performance. Throughout the night local Miami artist and DJ, Jonathan Chan will be playing some of Miami’s greatest hits.
On May 10, 2018, is the celebration of the Old Davie School’s 100th anniversary with a gala in honor of everyone who has contributed in making this a “splendid building.” Following the gala, the festivities will continue with a family fun Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
In the spirit of the national holiday of Thanksgiving, the Coral Gables Museum wants to give thanks to you–the community of locals, museum-goers, and art-lovers. Family Day is perfect for everyone, with friendly games, activities, and crafts, and even live performances by the Actor’s Playhouse Theater in the area. The actors will be performing numbers from well-known movie musicals such as La La Land and the Greatest Showman, something perfect for both the kids and adults to enjoy.

Take a look into the local and home-grown food industry with a farmer’s market at 4pm, and Chef Allen’s Farm-to-Table Dinner at 6:30 where those who register can have a five-course, plant-based dinner inspired by the fresh and local produce of the Farmers Marketplace. Not only that, enjoy a night of art with a public mural reception in the Thompson Plaza for Brazilian Muralists Eduardo Kobra’s piece on the Carnival Tower.
