Tachi Llamas and Giselle Delgado created ARTcycle, a bicycle-centered art event that raises awareness for safer streets for both riders and drivers with the goal of reducing the number of bike-related accidents and fatalities in the City of Miami.
All 14 sculptures that were exhibited during Art Basel days in 11 locations throughout Wynwood will be auctioned on January 23rd, at the Coral Gables Museum. A portion of the funds raised will support Green Mobility Network’s Safe Streets Educational Programs.
You’ll also have an opportunity to meet several of the participating artists who are responsible for some very unique concepts, including Johanna Boccardo + Erwin Georgi, Mariano Costa-Peuser, Giselle Delgado Buraye, Elito Diaz, Astolfo Funes, Katiuska Gonzalez, Lucinda Linderman, Nancy Martini, Janet Mueller, Maximiliano Pecce, Gioconda Rojas, Katy Stallfus, and Aida Tejada.
About their participation in ARTcycle as sponsors, Ford Motor Company says:
“From motorists to bicyclists, Ford Motor Company is committed the safety of all people sharing Miami’s roadways. At this event, we’re excited to share our perspectives on design, green and safety, three pillars important to Ford that are also the foundation of ARTcycle, a unique exhibit that defines the soul of this city!â€
