“Mental illness has been in the news a lot recently. We want to blame it for many things it is not. Crimes are committed by many people with no mental illness all the time and more people than you think are receiving therapy or taking medication for mental illnesses and live normal lives. Art therapy is one way of bringing happiness to all people and NAEMI (National Art Exhibitions by the Mentally Ill) has been promoting that for over 25 years. Please come and enjoy one of our exhibitions. It may just be therapeutic” said NAEMI s founder Juan Martin.

All artwork featured in this fundraiser will be available for sale, with the proceeds benefiting the artists and NAEMI’s goals of helping artists from around the world. This fundraiser will include international artwork from Spain, Cuba, Paraguay, Chile,Mexico and  Argentina. We hope that through fundraiser activities, we can exhibit this artwork in Miami and Spain.

The fundraising event/exhibition will offer the press and community supporters a chance to meet some of the artists and those involved with assembling the show.

The first 50 persons to buy some artwork will receive the book Echo the Silent Outsider.

Founded in 1988, NAEMI is now operating in the USA and Spain .The organization is dedicated solely to exhibiting and promoting the art made by people recovering from mental illness.
