Alma Fine Art, assisted by curator José Antonio Navarrete,is proud to present the work of Ariel Toledano. This solo represents the artist's latest exploration in abstract photography that resulted in his “Koncerto†series. As he explains in his artist’s statement, he assumes "art as a spiritual force" approaching all that is not figurative or definitive but rather expressive and informal.
As he frees his art from the concrete world with a degree of independence from our visual references, he introduces us to a dimension made up entirely of realities that cannot be tied down to a simple object, space or time.

Toledano says: "My quest to understand the presence of man and things in the world has led me to find beauty and texture in the energy that emanates from, and surrounds all that is recognizable".
In his art, Toledano manages to create a sense of depth and three-dimensionality in scenarios that lack a tangible description of reality. The result is a poetic speech that penetrates once you’ve satisfied your initial curiosity of trying to find out which object has been photographed.
He presents images of painterly qualities made up of lines, color, and movement that deny the original subject of its form. The use of color proves to be key in the creation of intricate and dynamic patterns and textures, resources that help enrich the complex abstract expressionist language of his work.
