Art Contest Miami/Basel Season is a huge exhibition for artists that will take place during ART BASEL WEEK. The exhibition will remain on view through January 6, 2018, allowing the exhibited artworks to have more visibility in the art field. It is designed to feature high-quality artists with outstanding accomplishments.

The exhibition will take place in the large gallery spaces at Curator’s Voice Art Projects. There will be a Selection Committee that will review artists’ submissions and will warrant the highest value of the artists exhibited.

ART CONTEST MIAMI/BASEL SEASON will provide artists’ services, and will present a Program of Activities with artists and curators in dialogue to attract more guests and the public during the important Miami Art Basel Season.

Application Process:

  1. Request an application ASAP from: info.artcontestmiami@gmail.com
  2. Email completed application back to  info.artcontestmiami@gmail.com, including the last pages of the application filled out, including information of the images submitted. Please include your resume. Art Contest Miami/Basel Season will accept a maximum of FIVE works for submission, at $15 per submitted image. paid using the link in the application.
  3. Deadline for Submissions:  November 12th, 2017 at 12 noon. Selected artists will be notified three business days later.

Accepted Formats: One 2D work, with maximum dimensions of 24 x 24 inches.
Or One 3D work, with maximum dimensions of 24 x 8 x 8 inches.
Participation Cost: for one 3D or one 2D work: $1450. For larger dimensions and more number of works, participation costs are priced upon request. Awards: There will be FOUR awards given. The FIRST PRIZE will be awarded to the best participating work. The award features the inclusion of two of the artists’ works in one upcoming show at Curator’s Voice Art Projects in 2018, as well as an honorary diploma. Three HONORABLE MENTIONS will be awarded to the next three best participating works. Awards will be announced on December 15, in the gallery social media channels. Sales Commission: There will be NO commission on sales for this contest.

About Curator’s Voice Art Projects
Curator’s Voice Art Projects (CVAP) is located at the center of the Wynwood Art District in Miami, Florida, USA. Curator Voice Art Projects focuses on curatorial projects in Contemporary Art. CVAP is lead by Milagros Bello, Ph.D., director and chief curator of this space. Dr. Bello obtained a Doctorate in Sociology of Art, and a French Master Degree in Art History, both at Sorbonne University. She teaches art at South Florida Universities. She writes about art on different media. She has worked as an independent curator in the arts for over 20 years. CVAP fosters the new generations in the arts, and plays a key role as an artist’s incubator in the Miami art field.
