Just My Height Art Shows brings fine art to young children’s eye level by displaying professional-level, fine art (not children’s or “childish” art) at just 36 inches high so young children can see it. A Just My Height Art Shows production is just like any other art show—only the art is hung at a “new low.”
Just My Height’s next production, called “The Writing on the Wall,” will benefit the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library in support of Miami-Dade Public Library’s Project L.E.A.D. (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade). Entrance into the show is free; donations to the Friends of the Library will come through the sale of artwork in the show. The juried show will showcase the work of 20 artists from Miami and around the country with pieces centered around the theme of letters and numbers.
The opening reception will feature games, activities and prizes designed to engage the children with the art. Age-appropriate snacks and beverages (aka, “grape juice” for both age sets) will be provided.
About Just My Height Art Shows:
Bringing fine art to young children’s eye level ™
Just My Height Art Shows: Bringing fine art to young children’s eye level ™ is an art-show concept developed by Miami Artist Christine Lyall in which fine art produced by professional and/or emerging artists is displayed no more than 36 inches high, allowing for children of all ages, including small children, to see it. The name “Just My Height Art Shows” was conceived in 2014, but Ms. Lyall produced her first fine art shows for children (called “More than Meets the Eye”) in Miami in 2013.
