In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, Honduran artist Emilio Martinez will discuss his most recent series "History Seen and Corrected: My American Me Experience", and elaborate upon past work. Martinez's pieces mostly revolve around the concepts of migration and travel, the impact it can have on one's life and identity, the psychological, economic and spiritual effect it has. With a brilliant use of symbolism in a dreamlike, nostalgic way reminiscent of one's own memory, Martinez created compelling pieces that encourage one to reflect upon our roots.
