Join the NSU Art Museum and Barbara Buhler Lynes, Ph.D., Sunny Kaufman Senior Curator for a lecture on the museum's Cobra collection. The Cobra collection is a series of work similar to that of abstract expressionists of the 20th century, however, it differs in that neither was inspired by the other. These dynamic, colorful, and expressive works were made by international artists who joined together in 1948, naming their group Cobra after their home cities of Copenhagen, Brussels, and Amsterdam, and the museum has one of the biggest collections of their work in the US.
