The art fair is now relocated at the Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami site on Biscayne Bay: One of the most prestigious and well-known waterfront locations in the City of Miami. South Florida Gears Up for the 56th Annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival on President’s Day Weekend: February, Saturday 16 to Monday, February 18. Hours: Saturday and Sunday: 10 am – 6 pm. Monday: 10 am – 5 pm. Admission is $15, children under 12 free and residents (with proof of residency) $ 5. 360 artists will represent 14 diverse categories. Art for all.

Join the Coral Gables Museum to help beautify the community in celebration of the buildings 80th anniversary by reintegrating native orchids back into the Gables landscape. Every participant will get one orchid to plant in the courtyard and will be given out for free so that they can be inserted in the homes of the residents. Help revive the natural landscape of the Miami area today.

The Pompano Beach Cultural Center newest exhibition, Engraved, is a collaboration with The Buenos Aires Editing Center in Argentina and the Latin American Art Pavilion Project (LAAP) celebrating the work and artistic development of women in the visual arts field. Carlos Estevez’ Observatorios Observables opens at Artscape Lab this Saturday 16, 7 – 10 (Little River, 7255 NE Ste.113). The most recent body of work of Carlos Estévez (Havana,1969), comprised of nine large paintings that depart from the idea of surveillance, navigational instruments, and vision from a metaphysical point of view.
Opening Reception on Saturday, February 16, 7 – 10 pm at Dot Fiftyone Gallery in Little River. The work of Armando Romero employs various visual elements to create universes that juxtapose images inspired by the classic master painters with pop culture and graffiti while, the paintings of Carlos Jorge show the poetic solidity of the walls, in which the stone is the protagonist.

Join the Miami Institute of Contemporary Art and the Design District for a collaborative family fun activity day! Join the Museum of Art and Design for a talk on how artists such as SUPERFLEX and other environmentally conscious artists have managed to intertwine their work and their values to create stunningly complex pieces. SUPERFLEX us an artist group that breaks boundaries by suggesting new ways of reckoning with Miami’s rising sea levels and soaring inequalities. Their presentation will be followed by a discussion on the tension between scientific, philosophical, aesthetic, and activist discourses.
(February 21 – May 26): The Face of Our Time: Russian Avant-garde Art from the Bekkerman Collection features stunning works from the first half of the 20th century by leading artists (including David Burliuk, Alexandra Exter, Natalia Goncharova, and Boris Grigoriev) from the private collection of Maya and Anatoly Bekkerman. Join NSU Art Museum to bring out your artistic side! Instructors will teach visitors how to paint like impressionists in an outdoor art session at Bubier (Huizenga Park) and Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale. This alternate perspective is offered by art historian and specialist in Latin American and Caribbean Art. At the freedom tower after the discussion, you can see the exhibition with features treasure made of ceramics, textiles, gold, and silver reveal a new narrative of pride, rituals, and beliefs thousands of years old.
