Alejandra Abad explores memory and belonging through space and moving images, using indoor and outdoor projections to reflect cyclical transformation. Her Magical Realist approach recontextualizes everyday moments in experimental animations that engage with community and nature in South Florida. Since Fall 2023, she has collaborated with cities and art spaces, transforming hand-drawn memories into animations, sculptures, and layered textures. Her exhibition at the Coral Springs Museum of Art showcases this evolving process through Garden of Memories, Lexicon de Plantas, and Water State.

An opening reception and award ceremony will be held on February 3rd, 2025 at the Museum and in the theater. This exhibition is a partnership between the Broward County Public Schools and the Coral Springs Museum of Art Inc.
