Join HistoryMiami for a panel conversation and talk about the history of the LGBTQ+ community in honor of June Pride Month and the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. A diverse group of hosts will discuss prominent issues in the community. The leaders of the discussion include author and professor of Contemporary Art at FIU Dr. Alpesh Kantilal Patel, bullying and suicide prevention, and communication counselor for teens Dani Dominguez,actress, performing artist and transgender activist June Raven Romero, gender and sexuality studies professor at the University of Miami, and Dr. Julio Capó, Jr., the curator of Queer Miami exhibition.
