Hard Edge Miami: Ramon Bofill, Jeff Larson, David Marsh, Gerardo Olhovich, Victoria Ravelo, Sergio Rodriguez, Kathleen Staples, Kyle Trowbridge, and Kerry Ware: nine contemporary Miami artists who, in addition to having all studied art at UM at some point over the past 25 years, have now, synchronistically, come to embrace the need to create art that acknowledges the visual effectiveness of simplified forms, flattened surfaces, hard linear edges, large swaths of color, and underlying geometric pictorial structure as the visual mechanisms for embodying psychologically satisfying sensations of order and beauty.
