The One Festival Offers an Eclectic Collection of Monologues”
The Divorce Club, The Unabridged Soliloquy, Love, Wild Honey Pie, The Young Donor. The One Festival is a collection of fifteen-minute plays written, directed and acted by BFA seniors. In four programs over the course of two weeks, the themes of these plays are relevant, varied and personal and will take audiences on what is on the conscience of these artists.

Camilo Rojas. Power of unkNOWn.
Camilo Rojas is a multidisciplinary designer currently based in Miami. Typography is the center of his craft, and he often experiments with it as an art form – using words and letters as a visual medium to represent text in an innovative way and as an essential mean of expression. A series of a text-based mirror and light sculptures will confront the viewers with the duality of words, spelling out simple but intriguing phrases/questions drawing each person that encounters them to attend the act of looking inward.
New Word School of the Arts was created by the Florida State Legislature in 1984 as a Center of Excellence in the visual and performing arts. A unique collaborative venture of the University of Florida, Miami Dade College and the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the school provides a continuous comprehensive program of artistic training, academic development and preparation for careers in dance, music, theater, and visual arts.
