Oolite Arts is celebrating 40 years! This milestone year marks four decades of supporting Miami’s visual artists. Our current exhibition showcases how we live our mission daily.
Between Here and Elsewhere
Curated by Omar Lopez-Chahoud
Between Here and Elsewhere brings together the work of Oolite Arts’s resident artists and filmmakers, considering each work as a point of entry—into explorations of personal histories, collective memory, social structures, ecological terrains, or speculative worlds. Spanning lens-based media, material practices, spatial interventions, and digital forms, the exhibition considers how artworks open pathways into broader contexts. Whether grounding or transporting, each work offers itself as a threshold—between here and elsewhere.
Featured Artists:
Emma Cuba, Gabriel De Varona, Mark Delmont, Matthew Forehand, Diego Gabaldon, Sepideh Kalani, Pangea Kali Virga, Diana Larrea, Amanda Linares, Juan Luis Matos, Bex McCharen, Ana Mosquera, Lee Pivnik, Vanta Black, Michael Ruiz-Unger, Sheherazade Thenard, Carrington Ware, Ricardo E. Zulueta.

The mission of Oolite Arts, what Miami is made of, is to support artists and advance the knowledge and practice of contemporary visual arts and culture in South Florida. The center creates opportunities for experimentation and innovation and encourages the exchange of ideas across cultures through residencies, exhibitions, public programs, education, and outreach.
