(Feb. 4 - April 9) Arturo Rodriguez: Terra Incognita, a solo exhibition. As Rodriguez’s second solo exhibition at LnS Gallery, the body of paintings presented in the showcase reflect the artist’s personal exploration of his internal psyche during the past three years. The main inspirations of the imagery found throughout the body harken back to literature, from Joseph Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness” to Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick.” Reminiscent of dreamlike sequences and fantastical anthropomorphic figures found in old storybooks, Rodriguez expels what lives in the mind onto canvas, capturing viewers into his internal imagination.
