Conversation at MOCA: Morel Doucet and Stephen Arboite @ MOCA - NoMi - Museum of Contemporary Art

The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami presents After the Rain Comes Light: Portraits of Resilience, a collaborative installation by Morel Doucet and Stephen Arboite. The new work will be on view both inside and outside of the museum building. A series of unique banners are installed on MOCA Plaza as part of the museum's “Art on the Plaza" program. The original, collaged artworks will be on view in the museum gallery. Doucet and Arboite's collaborative work explores Miami’s historically African American neighborhoods. Highlighting the flora and fauna found in various neighborhoods across Miami-Dade, the work reveals the conflicts of gentrification while celebrating the uniqueness and beauty of the African diaspora. Each of the ten banners on MOCA plaza was created from mixed media portrait collages, which will be on view in the museum. https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_d6GWexu5Rly9D1Pn4LaduA
