May 29 - July 24: Everyone will be saved through the algebra (A Casual Mathematics, II) by Brooklyn-based artist and learner, Kameelah Janan Rasheed. Featuring video animation, a public mural, wall painting, and large-scale diagrammatic prints, Everyone will be saved through the algebra will be presented in our Survey Space as Rasheed’s inaugural Miami exhibition. Kameelah Janan Rasheed is invested in Black storytelling technologies, working on the page, on walls, and in public spaces, prompting us to consider ways of [un]learning that are interdisciplinary, interspecies, and interstellar. In addition to exhibiting nationally at institutions such as the Brooklyn Museum, The New Museum, and MASS MoCA, Rasheed is also a 2021 Guggenheim Fellow in Fine Arts and a recent recipient of a Joyce Foundation 2021 Joyce Award.
