BFI, Deering Estate, and Exile Books presents new artist zines by Fereshteh Toosi, Jenna Balfe, and Jessie Gold for the release of the next three chapters of the WEIRD MIAMI ANTHOLOGY, a collection of Self-Guided “WEIRD MIAMI” tours, excursions, and experiences! This trilogy of zines groups together site-specific activities and experiences that the audience is invited to participate in along the Old Cutler state historic highway. A Kayak Float with Fereshteh Toosi at Deering Estate, in the spirit of the artist’s Weird Miami Zine: Water Radio: Launch Frequencies. A smartphone video screening, and Bodymovementintroductory workshop with Jenna Balfe for her Weird Miami Zine: SWAMP BALL. A reflective walk along Snapper Creek for Jessie Gold’s Weird Miami Zine: Pop that Vespucci or Reflections on Land, Water, and Rhythm.
