Lecture on Saturday, November 2, 3 pm at Frost Art Museum. Free. Sculptor Willie Cole. Cole assembles and transforms ordinary domestic and used objects such as irons, ironing boards, and high-heeled shoes into imaginative and powerful works of art and installations. Cole’s art speaks to the social, political, and cultural perspectives on the African American experience.  Cole’s work can be found in the permanent collections of the MOMA, the Walker Art Center, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, as well as the National Gallery of Art, among many other museums
