Sweet and Sour explores symbolism and imagery in the culture of domestic and foreign war. The exhibition draws attention to the reliance on  firepower and technology that often turns out to be counterproductive. Karla Caprali’s textile and paper works include hand embroidery, monoprints and drawings representing the artist's research and reflections on the causes and effects of war. Curator Ananda DeMello, founder of Art Habit, brings Caprali's work together to contemplate the impacts of violence in history.
