Master De Szyszlo will be present in the opening reception. He was born in Lima in 1923 from Polish and Spanish-Indian descents, began studying Architecture to then finish his training in Fine Arts, is today one of Peru’s most important and recognized artists.His work is characterized by a strong blend of intermixing abstract and figurative with a particular vision of pre-hispanic myths, connected with spiritual and poetic interpretation, defined as lyrical abstractionism. De Szyszlo has exhibited his work at the Venice Biennial, the Sao Paolo Biennial, the Guggenheim Museum, MOMA, Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, Museum of Latin American Art (Molaa), with more than 100 solo exhibitions. His work is represented in important public and private collections around the world.
