Slow down!
Sometimes being slow, small or weak can have its advantages! Survival of the Slowest looks at the often-overlooked species that have evolved to slow down as part of their strategy to survive—and even thrive—in a world where large, strong and fast animals are often at the top of the food chain.
Guests get an up-close look at wildlife featuring a sloth, snakes, tortoises, a hedgehog, a tarantula and more. Encounter animals that have survived for millions of years despite being very slow and learn about the puzzling sides of evolution and adaptation. Discover the difference between warm- and cold-blooded species, discover why some animals need less food than others and see the unique ways they hide from predators.
Survival of the Slowest Educational Talks are available in the Traveling Exhibit Hall on Wednesdays-Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Exhibit included with Museum admission.

Paw Patrol Adventure Play | Opening Sept. 12, 2025
Based on the hit series, PAW Patrol, this immersive exhibit invites children and families to embark on daring rescue missions and work together to overcome challenges.
Step inside Adventure Bay to meet Marshall, Chase, Skye and the rest of the PAW Patrol squad as they demonstrate the strength that lies in working together towards a common goal.
Families will visit Adventure Bay with a group of eight rescue pups. Each pup is inspired by a real-world job like a firefighter (fire dog Marshall), police officer (police pup Chase), construction worker (Rubble), fearless pilot (Skye) and more. Just as the heroic pups, who believe “no job is too big, no pup is too small,” work together to protect the community on the TV show, families work together to save the day with a can-do attitude at the museum. In the process, kids learn about different jobs within a community and how those real-life professionals coordinate to keep people safe and happy.
Exhibit included with Museum admission.
